Privacy policy
This policy explains what Kindwork collects through getkindwork.com and the Kindwork product, what we do with it, who helps us run the service, and how to delete it. The short version below only summarizes the sections under it, and the sections are what govern.

Who we are and what this covers
Kindwork (“Kindwork”, “we”, “us”) is operated by a California sole proprietorship. You can reach us at ben@getkindwork.com or by mail at P.O. Box 1118, Empire, CA 95319.
Kindwork is an AI assistant for real estate agents. It reads the Gmail and Google Calendar you connect and drafts replies and notes for you to approve. This policy covers four groups of people: visitors to getkindwork.com, people who write to us or ask to hear when Kindwork opens, people who use the Kindwork product, and existing clients of our done-for-you service until they move to the product.
The effective date is at the top of this page. By using the website or the product, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Email you give us
- If you write to us, or leave your address to hear when Kindwork opens, we get your email address and whatever you write.
- Account details
- Your name and email address when you create an account.
- Google user data
- What Kindwork reads from your Google account once you connect it. The next section, Google user data and Limited Use, says exactly what and why.
- Mobile number and texting consent
- Only if you switch texting on: your number and a record of your consent. See Texts.
- Billing
- Stripe handles payment. We receive your name and the last four digits of your card, never the full card number.
- Site analytics
- Page views counted in aggregate, with no cookies. See Cookies and tracking.
- Support messages
- What you send us when you ask for help.
- Technical logs
- Our host records standard request data, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site working and secure.
- Business contact details
- We may write to real estate professionals about Kindwork using business contact details, including details from third-party data providers. Every such email says how to opt out, and we honor it.

Google user data and Limited Use
This section applies when you connect a Google account to Kindwork. You connect on Google’s own consent screen, and we never see your Google password.
What Kindwork accesses, and why
- Read, sort and send your email (gmail.modify)
- Read your messages and their details so Kindwork knows who is waiting on you and what you last said; sort your inbox with labels, and archive messages or mark them read only after you have said yes to it; save drafts; and send the replies and notes you approve, from your own address. Kindwork never deletes your email.
- See your calendar (calendar.readonly)
- Read your events so Kindwork knows what you have coming up.
- Add or change events when you ask (calendar.events)
- Add an event or change one only when you ask it to, never on its own.
Kindwork uses this access to know who is waiting on you and what you last said, to sort your inbox with labels (and, once you say yes, to archive or mark read what you no longer need to see), to draft replies and notes in your voice, to send what you approve, and to know what you have coming up. It never deletes your email, and it uses this access for nothing else.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Kindwork’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use your Google user data to train AI or machine-learning models.
We never sell Google user data or use it for advertising. We transfer it to no one except to provide the features you use, for security, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale of the business after asking for your consent first.
Who can read your mail
No one at Kindwork reads your mail, with three exceptions: when you ask us to look at specific messages to help you, and we keep a record of that request; when it is needed for security, such as investigating a bug or abuse; and when the law requires it.
You can remove Kindwork’s access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party connections page.
How we use it, and AI processing
We use what we collect to run Kindwork for you: to read and sort your mail, draft your replies and notes, send what you approve, reply to you, bill you, keep the service secure, and meet our legal duties.
The drafts are written by an AI model from Anthropic, our model provider. To write a draft, the parts of your mail and calendar it needs are sent to Anthropic’s API. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, it does not train its models on what we send it.
Nothing is sent until you approve it, and what you approve goes out from your own email address.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with these providers, each of which works for us under a contract and only to run Kindwork.
- Anthropic
- Writes the drafts. Receives the parts of your mail and calendar that each draft needs.
- Supabase
- Our database. Stores your account data, including what Kindwork keeps about your mail and any address left to hear when we open. Location: United States.
- Nango
- Holds and refreshes the tokens that connect your Google account to Kindwork.
- Vercel
- Hosts this website and the Kindwork product, and counts page views.
- Resend
- Sends the email Kindwork sends itself: sign-in codes, and the confirmation when you join the waitlist. It receives your email address and that email, never your Gmail.
- Your own Google account, which Kindwork reads and sends from.
- Twilio
- Delivers our texts, and only if you switch texting on.
- Stripe
- Takes payment for your subscription.
Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data and consent records are excluded from every category above. We never share them with third parties or affiliates, except Twilio, which delivers the texts.
Legal requests and business transfers
We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect someone’s rights, safety or property. If Kindwork is merged or sold, information may pass to the new owner under this policy; Google user data passes only with your consent first.
Texts
We send texts only after you switch texting on inside Kindwork and tick the box yourself. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text HELP for help and STOP to stop at any time.
We do not share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes, and we never sell it. Twilio delivers our texts and sees your number for that purpose only.
When you switch texting on, we keep a record of your consent: the time, the wording you were shown, the number and the account it belongs to. We keep logs of the texts we send and receive for 90 days.

Your email, if you ask to hear when we open
If you write to us, or leave your email address to hear when Kindwork opens, we use it to confirm you are on the list, to reply to you personally and to tell you when Kindwork opens, and for nothing else.
We keep it for 12 months after Kindwork opens, or until you ask us to delete it. Reply to any email from us, or write to ben@getkindwork.com, and we will remove it.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days after you disconnect Google or close your account.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in database backups for up to 30 more days, and is then gone.
- Drafting at our model provider: kept under Anthropic’s published retention policy for its commercial API.
- Text logs: 90 days.
- Waitlist addresses: as described in Your email, if you ask to hear when we open.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires.
Deleting your data and disconnecting
You can disconnect Google at any time from your Google Account’s third-party connections page, and Kindwork stops reading your mail from that moment.
You can close your account in your settings, or by writing to ben@getkindwork.com. You can export your data first.
When your account closes, we delete what we store about your mail, including our copies of drafts and the ids of messages sent through Kindwork, within 30 days. Messages already sent stay in your Gmail Sent folder, and any draft saved in your Gmail stays there until you delete it.
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to it is limited to what running Kindwork needs, and your Google tokens are held by Nango rather than in our own database.
Once Google verifies the Kindwork app, we will complete Google’s required independent security assessment every year. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or get a copy to take elsewhere. Write to ben@getkindwork.com with “Privacy request” in the subject. We will check that the request comes from you and answer within the time the law allows, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents: we give everyone who asks the rights in the California Consumer Privacy Act, whether or not the law requires it of a business our size. We do not sell or share personal information as that law defines those words, and you may use an authorized agent to make a request.
The done-for-you service
Before the Kindwork product, we ran a done-for-you service for real estate agents, and we still run it for existing clients until they move to the product.
For those clients, I (Ben Larrazolo) and the service’s software read the client’s connected mailbox to prepare a daily digest of who is waiting on a reply and who has gone quiet. Notes go out from the client’s own address, and only after the client approves them. The providers listed under Who we share it with apply to this service too.
Google access for the done-for-you service
This service connects through a separate Google app, Kindwork Clients, which requests these permissions:
- gmail.readonly
- Read the connected mailbox to prepare the client’s daily digest: who is waiting on a reply and who has gone quiet.
- gmail.compose
- Create drafts in the client’s mailbox for the client to review.
- gmail.send
- Send the notes the client has approved, from the client’s own address.
- calendar.events
- Read upcoming events for the digest, and add or change an event only when the client asks.
The Limited Use commitments above apply to it in full.
The service also includes short forms a client can send to their own past clients. The answers go to that client, are stored in our database, and are handled under this policy.
Children, changes and contact
Kindwork is for working real estate professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you think we have, write to us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For a material change, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
